Edward and Bella on Esme Isle
By Nicole Barker This is my Latest painting depicting “Breaking Dawn” from the “Twilight” book series by Stephenie Meyer. This piece is painted in Photoshop CS3 WITHOUT a Wacom tablet. I used a standard optical mouse. Twilight movie posters were used as a visual reference to achieve the likeness in each character’s face, but this is NOT a photo-manipulation. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. Yes, I do think that the dark areas of edward's skin is much darker than Bella's. Since visually in a sunrise setting, everything has yellow highlights, the major different between Edward and Jacob is that Edward's skin has a blue undertone and Jacob's has a deep brown undertone. but since Jacob is obviously not in this scene, It's difficult to make the comparison. So I see what you mean. I might make Bella's skin a bit darker in the shadow's and Edward's skin a bit lighter in the shadows, just to even it out a bit.

I hope my next painting is as good as this one.
I'm very happy that you would like this piece even if you were not a twilight fan. That means a lot to me. Especially since I don't paint exclusively twilight work.
