This is my Latest painting depicting Breaking Dawn from the Twilight book series by Stephenie Meyer.
This piece is painted in Photoshop CS3 WITHOUT a Wacom tablet. I used a standard optical mouse. Twilight movie posters were used as a visual reference to achieve the likeness in each characters face, but this is NOT a photo-manipulation.
Oh my gosh its really great! I agree, its really different than the other posters, but their faces still look like the actors from the movie. And to think you did it with a mouse =*D. But edwards body is a little to dark to be a vampire, some of the skin looks like Jacob skin xP But great job anyways.
This work is absolutely stunning Even if I am not big Twilight fan I love this one! To be honest I'm speechless, it's so great. +fav:!! and

Yes, I do think that the dark areas of edward's skin is much darker than Bella's. Since visually in a sunrise setting, everything has yellow highlights, the major different between Edward and Jacob is that Edward's skin has a blue undertone and Jacob's has a deep brown undertone. but since Jacob is obviously not in this scene, It's difficult to make the comparison. So I see what you mean. I might make Bella's skin a bit darker in the shadow's and Edward's skin a bit lighter in the shadows, just to even it out a bit.
Thanks again, I'm really glad you liked it

Wow, those are some pretty high standards you set. I hope my next painting is as good as this one. I'm very happy that you would like this piece even if you were not a twilight fan. That means a lot to me. Especially since I don't paint exclusively twilight work.
thanks for the fav

DeviantART has partnered with FAIR to help promote equality through The Love Unites Shepard Fairey Equality Project. We're asking deviants to align themselves with this cause and have their work judged by Shepard Fairey himself!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
